~ Lamb Photos ~ Under 30 days of Age A Sampling
|
Pictured above are twin lambs to each other. They
are the result of a pairing between "YUKON", Luxford 07-1311 and a top "Great Divide" daughter!
The match-up between these bloodlines have resulted in some super lambs for us. Their dam puts a top pair of lambs on
the ground every year. Pictured here at 3 weeks of age.!

A bold, baby son of "YUKON" and a "Great Divide"
daughter. He is going to be special! At 33 days of age, he is gaining 1.51 lbs. a day. He already
has size and scale for such a young lamb along with excellent structural correctness and that extra shot of length so
common to the Luxford sires. It'll be fun to watch his progress. This is a full maternal brother
to our Grand Champion Ram at the Nugget in 2009 so we expect this ram lamb will be another one to watch for in the future. Photo
taken at 24 days of age.

This twin ewe lamb is sired by "Great Divide"
and dammed by "Dottie", a 7 year old brood ewe that provides us with outstanding lambs each year. The
"Great Divide" lambs develop into beautiful individuals with great Suffolk character, not to mention body,
bone and substance. Once the lambs loose their newborn color, they have sparkling white fleeces and stunning
black points. Pictured here at 21 days of age.

This twin ewe lamb (pictured above) is sired by "Shanghai
Noon", Pleasant Valley 1213. "1213" boasts Luxford on the top and the well known "Gun Fighter"
stud on the dam's side. "Shanghai" has sired some very respectable lambs for us in his first season of work.
His lambs are strong, straight made lambs with big, level tops, hips and decent bone. Photo taken at 21 days of
age.

Another super "Shanghai" lamb out of a "LAWMAN"
daughter. This twin ram lamb is really a solid, complete type of lamb. He has good bone, top and tailset
and stands on a excellent set of feet and legs! Pictured here at 19 days of age.

Twin (pictured right) to the ram lamb pictured above, this
ewe lamb is the feminine mirror image of her twin. Two peas in a pod. Solid, correct lambs with good tops, bone
and natural thickness are what we are seeing from the Pleasant Valley sire, "Shanghai Noon". We are excited
to see how his lambs develop!

Pictured above is a 20 day old ewe lamb that is sired by
"Shanghai Noon" and dammed by a big "Burlington Northern" daughter. "Burlington Northern"
was the ram we sold in Reno in '06 for $8,500. This young gal is super cool as she has the attitude of a show ewe (look
at me) and the product of a brood ewe! A nice combination of form meeting function.

This flashy little gal is one of our youngest lambs and is twin
to a ram lamb that is also extra eye appealing but nowhere to be found when the camera came out. She is sired by "YUKON"
and dammed by a paternal half sister to our Reserve Champion Ram at Reno in 2008 making this lamb a "Saddle Tramp",
Luxford 1256 granddaughter. Pictured here at 17 days.

This baby twin lamb (pictured right) is sired by
Prairie Rose 8617-1, the ram we called "Big Mountain", who was the Grand Champion Ram in Reno in 2009.
He is siring outstanding bone, body, length and correctness in the Double L flock. Larry and Linda have stated
that they couldn't be more pleased with the lambs out of this stud. This particular lamb is dammed by the renowned "Miss
Idaho". This is an exceptional pair of twins out of two champion bred parents. The lamb is pictured here
at less than 24 hours old.

Pictured above, this robust ram lamb sired by our Champion
Ram at Reno in 2009 and dammed by a Double L ewe, is quite an impressive baby lamb. He is only 4 days of age in
this picture and already exhibits the strength, size, bone, body and extra length of his sire. The ram has produced
an exceptional group of lambs for Larry and Linda! Congrats again to the Paulys on a fine crop of lambs.
