"LAST CALL"

Prairie Rose 61258-3

Sire:  "True North", Luxford 1450B           Dam:  Prairie Rose 1258

 RR/NN

"Last Call" is a large, long-sided ram with a wide flat hip in him with a high dock.  He is smooth made with rib in him, wide over his top and shows excellent width through his chest floor and that width carries all the way back through his hip. He is upheaded with a great pattern and breed character.  Additionally, for those who like to play the numbers game, he racked up very respectable numbers for growth at 60, 120 and 180 day weighs. He doesn't disappoint when you get your hands on him as he handles wide over his top and loin.  "Last Call" hails from one of our predominant stud lines that goes back to "Yukon Jack" and "Cobra" as well as "TomBoy" and "Tommy Girl", two of our great stud ewes whose genetics have made a tremendous impact on our flock as well as for others through their lambs. His dam, "58" is a daughter of Tommy Girl and granddaugher of TomBoy.  She produced our 2015 Reserve Grand Champion Ewe at the Nugget in Reno and our 2nd in class ewe at the National Suffolk Sale in 2016. Other notables coming out of this line are "Jack of Diamonds", the 2011 Reserve Grand Champion Ram who is still working at 7+ years of age, "Jack Hammer", "Big Jack", "Double Shot of Jack", "Little Miss Sumpin", "Sumpin' Else" and his sisters, "Miss Behavin" & "Ain't Mis-Behavin"  "Great Divide", "LAWMAN", "Gun Fighter", "Gunslinger", Luxford 1230 round out his maternal pedigree.  "Last Call" is sired by "True North", Luxford 1450B who is the grandson of "Tuff Enuf", Luxford 12-1407 (who produced our Reserve Grand Champion Ram, Reserve Grand Champion Ewe and another 1st Place Yearling Ram for us in 2015) who was the son of the Schambow 3106D.  He is a grandson of "Famous Frank" who sired "Milestone", the 2013 National Champion Ram at Louisville. This buck has immense potential genetically. Twin born, February 2016.

 YEARLING RAM

"COLD BEER CONVERSATION"

Prairie Rose 61302-3

SIRE:  "True North", Luxford 1450B              DAM:  PRAIRIE ROSE 1302 (Yukon Jack daughter)

For those of you who know me, you know that I like to keep some substance in the sheep.  I have admired this young buck from the day he was born.  As he developed, the "the hired man" and I, felt that he had the potential to be the type of buck that could easily balance form and function by combining substance, width, mass, muscle, thickness, bone structure, gain per day/growth, with a strong top & level hip. He is wide based, dimensional and does not give up anything in structural soundness.  Additionally, he is decent headed, easy fleshing and patterns up well for a buck that carries this much mass.  Additionally, he comes from lines of longevity and production. His dam comes out of our old foundation lines and I use these ewes consistently in my program to build complete and productive sheep.  His dam, the 1302 ewe is a daughter of "Yukon Jack" and a granddaughter of  "D'Artagnon", the twin brother to "Burlington Northern", the buck we sold in Reno in '06 for $8500. His sire is "True North", Luxford 1450 B whose pedigree is outlined above in "Last Call's" Bio.  He is rich in Luxford breeding of old and you will find some of the great ones of the past in his "not that distant" pedigree, including the likes of "Great Northern", "Yellowstone", "Rink", "A-1", "Deluxe Power".  Old RDN & Andrus, George Bros "JR II", "Triple Crown & old Treasure Valley included.  This beast is 'Old School" with a modern twist!  If you need a stud that will add mass, fleshing ability, structural soundness, longevity...take a long look here. He is a February 2016 born twin.

We have transportation options to the Midwest Stud Ram Sale in Sedalia.  Free delivery along the Montana to Reno corridor as well.

YEARLING RAM

Prairie Rose 61330-2

Sire :  "True North", Luxford 1450B        Dam:  Prairie Rose 1330

" NORTH STAR " aka "Polaris"

 RR/NN

"North Star" comes from big breeding and he himself is a big kahuna.  A big, strapping, strong, beefy buck, he is also is deep bodied, long, correct, strong pasterned and travels free and easy.  Additionally, he patterns up beautifully for a buck with some body and meat in him. He also had strong numbers for growth as a lamb.  His dam is a Yukon Jack daughter & Great Divide Granddaughter. He comes out of another of our strong stud lines...what I call the '712' line.  His grand-dam, 712 produced our $4500 ram at Reno that sold to Maxwell Suffolks, our 1st in class yearling ram that sold to 5 Star J and our Reserve Grand Champion Ram in 2015 & 2nd High Selling Ram that sold to Benda Suffolks in Minnesota.  "North Star's" dam is a maternal sister to the former 3 rams. His dam has produced some beautiful keeper ewes for us as well!  The sheep in this line flat out work for us and breed on. This ram is sired by "True North", Luxford 1450B and you can read about his pedigree in 'Last Call's Bio.  "North Star" is a February 2016 born twin. This is very good buck from proven genetics!

Again, transportation can be arranged Sedalia
